First-class Service Delivered by Dedicated Volunteers
Our volunteers are trained, dedicated members of the communities we serve. We schedule and arrange accompanied transportation to medical appointments, therapies, grocery shopping, and other necessary errands to sustain independent living.
Our volunteers give physical and emotional support that older adults need to stay in their homes, and supply much-needed personal contact to allay isolation.
Other services we provide include:
- A tri-annual newsletter
- Facilitation of interaction between congregations, the communities and social service organizations
- Friendly visitation
- Library homebound delivery service
Transportation
ICP has a network of volunteers who provide rides to older adults in the Lyons Township, south Proviso and Riverside townships. Our clients trust us for reliable transportation to medical appointments as well as life-enhancing errands like the grocery store, hair salon, bank, and church.
Library Delivery Service
Interfaith Community Partners has united with seven local libraries to offer home-bound delivery service for older adults, 60 and better, with the intention of providing library materials to people who would have no other way to receive them. These partnering libraries include:
To sign up and request your library materials, you need to have a valid library card from your respective library in the town in which you live and you need to complete a home library delivery application.
Wellness Checks
Compassionate, engaged ICP volunteers reach out to clients by phone to check on their well-being and provide much-needed connection to the outside world.
